Homeward Hound is a small, hands on rescue and has been finding forever homes for rescue dogs since September 2020.

Our mission is to help homeless, abused, abandoned, stray or surrendered dogs, from all situations, and find them a new loving home. At Homeward Hound, we are very passionate about finding each of our dogs the right home where they can have a happy future.

 

We are located in Wath-upon-Dearne, Rotherham, South Yorkshire and have our own, separate block of kennels located on the site of Wath Boarding Kennels and Cattery. For our full address, click here

 

We aim strongly to provide high welfare standards for all the dogs in our care. Every one of our dogs is treated for fleas, ticks and worms; we also ensure all our dogs are microchipped and vaccinated. It is also our policy to have every dog neutered or spayed (whenever is best for the individual dog).

 

Homeward Hound consists of only volunteers who help to clean, walk and socialise the dogs. We have a number of devoted volunteer dog walkers who make it possible that all the dogs in our care are walked daily.

 

Please help us achieve our mission by donating, every penny counts. There are many costs when it comes to managing a dog rescue such as vaccination costs, any treatments/medications needed, spaying, neutering, food costs, heating bills and rent. All donations go towards helping the dogs and keeping our business running so we can continue to do what we love.
